**Job Summary:**
The GM Certified Technician Shop Foreman will oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring that all mechanical and technical work adheres to GM standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining service quality, training and mentoring technicians, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of GM vehicles, strong leadership abilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- **Leadership and Supervision:** Lead and manage a team of technicians, providing guidance, technical support, and mentoring to foster their professional development.

- **Technical Expertise:** Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GM vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

- **Training and Development:** Organize and conduct training sessions for technicians on the latest GM technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance service quality and efficiency.

- **Quality Control:** Inspect completed work to ensure it meets the highest standards of quality and safety; provide feedback and corrective action as needed.

- **Customer Interaction:** Assist the service advisors in diagnosing vehicle issues and provide expert recommendations to customers, ensuring they are informed and satisfied with proposed work.

- **Workflow Management:** Schedule and prioritize repairs and maintenance tasks, managing workflow in the shop to meet customer demand and service deadlines.

- **Inventory Management:** Monitor and manage the inventory of parts and tools, ensuring the shop is well-stocked and equipment is in excellent working condition.

- **Collaboration:** Work closely with the service manager and other departments to streamline processes and enhance overall customer service.

- **Compliance:** Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and accountability within the shop.

**Qualifications:**

- GM Certification or equivalent automotive technician certification.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a certified automotive technician, with a focus on GM vehicles preferred.

- Proven leadership and team management skills.

- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with an in-depth knowledge of automotive systems, specifically GM models.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service orientation.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.

- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
